POLICE have arrested a man in the town centre after being alerted to a car smelling of cannabis.
Officers were called to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Church Street in St Helens town centre reportedly smelling of cannabis at around 11.15am today, Tuesday, March 9.

A 30-year-old man from St Helens was detained on suspicion of drug driving; possession of cannabis and driving without a licence or insurance.
He has been taken to a police station for questioning.
