TEAM-MATES of Blackbrook rugby league player Jordan Welsby will pay a final tribute on Tuesday morning when the funeral cortège will pass the Boardmans Lane ground.
The popular 26-year-old, who represented Lancashire and toured with BARLA under 23s, tragically died after a traffic accident on Boxing Day.
The funeral cortège will set off from Newton-le-Willows at 10.30am on Tuesday, 26 January and pause outside the Blackbrook club en route to the St Helens Crematorium.
Team-mates and club members will gather, socially distanced, outside the club to send Jordan off with a round of applause.
