AN appeal has been successful in reducing Alex Walmsley's two-match ban - but he will still miss the derby against Wigan on Friday.
His suspension has been downgraded to a Grade B meaning he will now serve a one match ban.
He had been adjudged guilty of a Grade C dangerous contact on Leeds’ Alex Sutcliffe in last week’s victory.
Walmsley accepted the dangerous contact, but challenged the panel’s grading.
On appeal, the RFL Tribunal downgraded the tackle from a Grade C ‘reckless’ to a Grade B ‘careless’ meaning he will now only miss the Wigan contest and should be available for Catalans Dragons away on November 5, subject to that fixture taking place.
Walmsley has also been fined £500.
