SAINTS will be without skipper James Roby for Friday's game against Huddersfield at Headingley.
Roby left the field with a head knock five minutes from time in Sunday's win over Hull KR.
Aaron Smith, who played longer minutes last week, will start against the Giants.
Saints coach Kristian Woolf said: "James Roby is definitely going to miss out with it being a short turnaround.
"It means we are not going to have him available this week. That is certainly the best course of action as we need to look after him as a player and as a person.
"He has responded really well and will be fresh and raring to go when we play Hull KR again the following week."
Roby played the majority of last week's game at seven after Theo Fages went off - and performed well until his accidental collision forced him from the field.
