THERE has been a closure to a slip road of the M6 this morning due to a "spillage".
The M6 northbound entry slip road at Junction 22 (Newton-le-Willows) was closed due to a spillage in the carriageway.

Traffic officers and maintenance Crews were called to the scene, reported Highways England.
According to a traffic feed, the spillage has now been cleared as of 9.05am
It said: "M6 Northbound entry slip road re-opened, spillage cleared at J22 A49 Winwick Link Road (Newton-le-Willows).
"Traffic was unable to access the M6 Northbound from this junction until around 09:05 now the spillage has been cleared."
