POLICE have charged a man in connection with two alleged assaults at a McDonald's restaurant.
Officers were called to Earle Street, Newton-le-Willows on Saturday, February 15 this year at around 5.20pm to reports of a man acting suspiciously in the area.
Police said they received reports of someone knocking on doors and behaving in a peculiar manner.
A suspect was found in McDonald's who was detained after allegedly assaulted a police officer and a member or the public.

Officers arrested a 29-year-old man in connection with the incident.
Police have since charged Callum Phillip James, of Marshalls Cross Road, Peasley Cross with affray, assault by beating and assault of an emergency worker in connection with the incident.
James, 29, is due to appear at Merseyside Magistrates' Court today (Tuesday, August 11).
