A 31-YEAR-OLD who has been charged with assault by beating and criminal damage will appear in court next month.
James Aaron Foran, of Dean Meadow, Newton-le-Willows, is accused of assaulting a man.
He has been charged with assault by beating of a man in St Helens on January 30 of this year.
He has also been charged with threatening words or behaviour to cause harassment or distress to the same man.
Foran also faces a charge of causing damage to a motor vehicle on the same date.

Foran was due to appear at Merseyside Magistrates' Court in July but the hearing was adjourned due to the coronavirus pandemic to ensure that governmental advice on social distancing can be complied with.
Foran is next due to appear before the court to face the charge on Wednesday, September 2.
