A MEDICAL centre has been rated as good in all areas of care following an inspection by a health watchdog.
Patterdale Lodge Medical Centre in Earlestown was previously rated as good by the Care Quality Commission despite being told that it needed to improve in the category of safety following an inspection last October.
This was due to: "The registered person’s recruitment procedures did not ensure that potential employees had the necessary qualifications, competence, skills and experience before starting work."
However in their new report, published on August 1, the centre has been told they have made the necessary improvements to be rated as good in the safety category - as well as continuing to be rated highly in the other categories of effectiveness, care, well-led and responsiveness.
The report said: "The practice is now rated as good for providing safe services. At our previous inspection on October 11 2017, we rated the practice as requires improvement for providing safe services.
"These arrangements had significantly improved when we undertook a follow up inspection on July 6 2018 and staff records now contained all the required information to demonstrate their suitability for their roles."
