HOMELESS support charity Teardrops are putting together summer packs to help those in need during these increased temperatures.
After record breaking heat waves hitting the country in recent weeks, the homeless in the community are in danger of dehydration and sunstroke.
Homeless charity Teardrops, who will soon be opening their new hub in the former Larkins pub later this month, have come to the rescue with summer hydration packs for those in need including; water, factor 30 sun cream, wet wipes and deodorant.
However, with handing out the packs during their outreach across the town centre, the team will also soon be needing more donations to keep them helping others.
Teardrops founder, Shauni Ward, 27, said: "We have had a lot of people come forward suffering with heat stroke so we decided to put together these packs which includes an extra water to keep them hydrated, strong sun cream to stop them burning, deodorant to help with sweating and wet wipes to clean up or cool down.
"We've been taking out extra water and cold juice with us to help them anyway, but these packs are really important.
"People often think of the homeless when it's cold outside, but the heat also causes problems too.
"Homeless people suffer all year round, I never tell people to give money but if you can, please buy them a cold drink so they can keep cool.
"We've had lovely people come forward with donations of shorts and water, but any help would be great."
The group go into the community with the packs on Fridays and Sundays handing them out to people in need.
Mum-of-one Shauni, added: "If anyone can help us please get in touch, donations can be handed into Momo's on Cotham Street or you can get in touch with us directly via Facebook or Twitter and we can arrange a pick up."
