Can anyone shed light on this orchestra?
COFFEY Time reader Tanya Marsh sent me this picture (left) and posed a question.
She wrote: “Do you know anything at all about the Haydock Orchestral Society?
“My great-granddad John (Jack) Foster is fifth along as you look at the picture left to right, with the bowler hat on.
“His sister Lena is the one far right.”
Sadly I have not heard of them and my searches in the local history archives and online have proved fruitless.
