READER Paul Fishwick has sent me a school class photograph.

 
The picture is either from Merton Bank junior circa 1946 and Parr High 1947.


He wrote: “My lovely mum is 80 and I dug up two old school photos to see if anyone recognises mum’s schoolmates and if they are still around for a coffee and chat and catch-up?


“Mum’s name was Doreen Cain and she was from Chain Lane.


“We are both avid readers and fans of your work.


“I don’t know which of the two schools the photo is from.”
