THE family of Ryan Lamb, who died from a stab wound in April, are calling for a crackdown on knife crime and asking for justice for the 20-year-old.
Ryan, who had a two-year-old daughter, lost his life on April 26 following a stabbing, which happened on land at the rear of The Phoenix Inn on Sunday, April 23.
Ryan’s family say their lives have been destroyed by his death. They held a sponsored walk up Mount Snowdon on July 8 as a call for justice and are planning a balloon release in his memory.
Family and friends will be releasing red and white balloons on July 26 – three months after the former Sutton High School pupil died – in Sutton Park from 8pm.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Ryan’s brother Shaun said: “Our lives were destroyed and our hearts were broken. Ryan was a loving person who would be there for anyone. He was a funny lad, always joking around.
“He loved spending time with his nephews and nieces and was an amazing dad to his little girl Elodie-Bleu who he loved so much.”
Ryan, from Sutton, also has brother Daniel and sister Lisa.
Shaun added: “The person who did it is still out there. We are fighting for justice with our #JusticeForRyan campaign.
“We would like as many people as possible to get together in memory of Ryan and release balloons. It will take place over Sutton Park where Ryan used to love going with his mates. We chose red and white balloons as he was a big Liverpool fan.
“Whether they knew him, or just want to show support, everyone is welcome to come and fill the sky for Ry.”
Three men were arrested in connection with the crime in April; they have been released and remain under investigation.
