PEOPLE are invited to join artist Jeni McConnell at a day of free arts workshops at the weekend.
The day will take place at St Helens Central Library on Saturday, May 30.
The session is part of St Helens Council’s Cultural Hubs quality arts in libraries project and the Heart of Glass’ Your Name Here project offering people the chance to nominate someone to have a park in St Helens named after them.
Jeni will give people an opportunity to talk about who they are interested in nominating and why.
The day will have a family-friendly focus in the morning so children and grandchildren should be brought between 10am – 12.30pm. The afternoon session, from 1pm to 3pm, will be aimed at encouraging adults to take part.
St Helens Council’s cabinet member for health and wellbeing, Cllr Andy Bowden, said: “Your Name Here is a distinctive project and a great way to engage people in the arts.
"These workshops will be a super opportunity for people to visit Central Library, take part in a fun art activity and talk about who they might be interested in naming the park after.”
