LEGENDARY singer Joe Longthorne is set to play the Theatre Royal, St Helens tomorrow night (September 14) as part of his extensive tour of the UK.
Described by Tony Bennett as ‘a voice in a million’, Longthorne is well respected by his peers and recognised as one of the great entertainers in the country.
Returning to the Theatre Royal with a full band and backing singers, Longthorne will perform a hit-packed set of fan favourites that will no doubt bring the house down.
Living up to his reputation as the busiest man in show business, the 58-year-old has played nearly nonstop since the end of May.
Famed for his memorable crowd interaction, the singer often gets audience members to sing-a-long and sometimes meets them after performances.
Last year he was named on the Queen’s 2012 Birthday Honours list for his services to charity and now Joe Longthorne MBE comes back to the Theatre Royal with a show that’s not to be missed.
Joe Longthorne plays the Theatre Royal on Saturday, September 14 at 7.30pm. For tickets, call the box office on 01744 756000.
