A VAN burst into flames near a busy motorway junction.
A break in the fuel line is believed to have caused the fire close to Rainhill Stoops at the M62, shortly after 7.20am.
Noone was seriously hurt and the fire was out when emergency crews arrived.
But it meant drivers were faced with with disruption at the busy motorway junction for the second day running.
Firefighters were also called to two collision yesterday (Thursday), which caused rush hour tailbacks.
The first incident saw a 35-year-old man treated for a leg injury following a collision involving four vehicles.
Less than half an hour later, at around 7.23am, paramedics treated a motorcyclist, following an incident at the same junction.
