HOSTED by local record outfit Ivory Tree Records, ‘Take Acid Now’ is a showcase of local experimental music.
Taking place at Rendezvous Bar on Church Street, the night will feature sets from three bands; The Longdrone Flowers, Don’t Panic and Neurotic Wreck.
The psychedelic stylings of The Longdrone Flowers infuse several genres, creating a truly unique sound which is difficult to distinguish.
Don’t Panic’s influences can be established by hearing them play just one song. The young indie band are promising with a sound similar to likes of Arctic Monkeys.
To top the bill off is the intriguingly varying sound of Neurotic Wreck. With everything from electronic, key-bashing, synth pop to calmer acoustic songs about love, Neurotic Wreck are one to watch.
Offering a variety of experimental sounds, which are hard to come-by nowadays, ‘Take Acid Now’ is the perfect chance to catch some of St Helens’ freshest bands.
The event starts at 8pm on Saturday, January 5 and entry is free. 18+ only.
