For Agnes Lingard 91 on 23rd January 2017. We have a picture of a party where Dad is singing (probably you made me love you); By his side our kindly, soft hearted and sensitive Mum, a tear in her eye. It is nigh on 11 years since our parents left us but memories of them will always remain. When people are so good to us it should be no surprise that they remain in heart and mind no matter how much time passes by! All our love and gratitude to our Agnes, our dedicated Mum, on Jan 23rd - what would have been your 91st Birthday. In short we owe you everything and have thought about, and continued to love you every second since you passed away. We had 50 plus fantastic, joyful years together; then 11 years ago the lives we had known were ripped asunder; we lost our guide, our inspiration and our very best friend. In the dark times of your passing we nearly went under. However we had very privileged upbringings and over time we learned to go on without you. Although we still miss and ache for our Mum every day. We aim to enjoy the life gifted to us by our Mother and Dad too. We will never understand, as long as we live, why God decided that a truly good lady like you should suffer so much as a result of that dreadful disease of old age. However even as you were so ill in hospital you were more worried about the welfare of Geoff and Sue. But you are now at peace with your Alf. On 23rd we will celebrate the life of the best of Mothers and Wives; our beautiful, gentle but strong willed Agnes who sacrificed so much to improve her children's lives. Devoted Son Geoff, Daughter Sue and Son in Law Dave
