Birthday Memories of Alfred Lingard Also Anniversary 4th July. A million thanks on July 1st to our true, gentle and marvellous Dad a man for whom a great life meant being with the family and having your Wife Agnes on your arm. From the moment we were born you sacrificed so much and enriched our lives, showing real dedication, looking after our interests and directing us away from harm. Not a single day ever goes by Dad were you are not in our thoughts; when we don't realise how unbelievably lucky we were to have such parents. Even now after ten years you still stay in our hearts and minds despite the decade since you slipped away the pain of your loss is still intense. It was an enormous struggle to want to go on when we lost our greatest supporters and friends, Mum and you. However over time we started again to enjoy the privileged existence we have, most of which down to you, our Dad, and our special Mother too. As kids we never knew how difficult things were because you provided each of us with a great happy childhood. Most of all we knew, and it was clear to all, we were loved. Have there ever been parents that were more kindly, hard working and good?. So beloved Dad rest in peace with your Agnes. As we must yet again mark the passing, without you, of your birthday. A great comfort to us is that you knew how much we loved you. But it must be said our enormous debt to you we could never repay. We don't know ourselves how long we have left; So many loved ones of all ages have gone since you passed away. But it is with the utmost joy that we think of meeting up with everyone again. Especially with our marvellous Mum and Dad on that final, magical day. Loved always Geoff, Sue and Dave.
