PENNINGTON Enid It is with great sadness that the family of Enid share the news of her passing on 6 February 2024 at the age of 99. Enid's greatest passion was the theatre and she had acted in, produced and directed countless plays and musicals at the Theatre Royal, St Helen's spanning over 70 years. Enid was a founding member of the Friends of the Theatre Royal group which raised funds to reopen the St Helen's Theatre Royal after it closed its doors in 1984 and in recognition for her services to performing arts Enid was awarded the BEM in 2017. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her. To honour her memory donations can be sent in her name to Willowbrook Hospice St Helen's, if you so wish.
