AN ORMSKIRK-BORN rugby league player has entered the Love Island villa.
It was revealed last night that 24-year-old Keanan Brand, of Super League's Leigh Leopards, had travelled to South Africa to take part in the hit ITV2 show and he made his first appearance at the end of Thursday night’s episode.

Brand becomes the second professional rugby league player to feature in the show in the space of a year, with former Castleford Tigers hooker Jacques O’Neill entering the villa last summer.

Brand, formerly of Widnes Vikings and Warrington Wolves, he joined Leigh in 2021, and has featured in a relegation from and a promotion back to Super League in his two full seasons at Leigh Sports Village.
