MICHAEL Smith's fine season has again been rewarded with inclusion in the line-up for the 2019 Darts Premier League which begins on February 7.

The beaten finalist in the World Darts Championship was also runner up to Michael van Gerwen in last year's Premier League final.

The 28-year-old, as expected, is the only of the St Helens darts contingent to make the cut for the event played across some of the biggest venues in Britain and Europe.

Those two are joined by Rob Cross, Peter Wright, Gary Anderson, Daryl Gurney and Gerwen Price.

Sky's two picks were Mensur Suljovic and, in his retirement year, Raymond van Barneveld.
