Success for town’s swimmers

IT was a successful weekend in the pool for St Helens Swimming Club, who went to Orford Percy Mason gala and came away with some cracking times.

The club’s swimmers were in top form and knocked a massive 214 seconds off their personal bests.

Jack Slater, Adam Lindsay-Yule and Luke Brussels all gained their county times.

The club won six golds from Adam Lindsay-Yule (100m free, 50m free and 50m fly), Luke Brussels (100 fly and 50m fly) and Jack Slater (50m back)

Three silvers won by Ayesha Brocklehurst (200m free and 200m breast), Jack (50m free).

Four bronze were collected by Alicia Ashton (100m breast), Gabby Fee (100m breast), Luke (200m IM), Josh Barker (200m back).

4th medals Fee (50m breast), Ashton (50m back), Brocklehurst (200m IM).

6th medals Fee (200m IM), Darcey Briers (50m breast).
