Saints' Ryan Morgan to join London on season-long loan

SAINTS centre Ryan Morgan is to join London Broncos on loan for the 2019 season, it has been confirmed.

The Australian joined Saints from Melbourne Storm in 2017 and has made 49 appearances for the club, scoring 24 tries.

The signing of Fijian captain Kevin Naiqama had raised speculation over Morgan's future at Saints, wit hincreased competition for centre places.

Morgan was in out of the first team during the 2018 campaign as coach Justin Holbrook rotated his three-quarter options.

The club has today confirmed the 28-year-old will join the promoted Broncos on a season-long loan deal.

“We have a lot of competition for places in the squad and therefore we felt it was best for the club and Ryan if he went out on loan,” Saints chief executive Mike Rush said.

“Ryan is too good a player not to be playing regularly and will be a great fit at London Broncos.

“With Mark Percival and Kevin Naiqama being our starting centres and Ryan needing to play week in week out we felt the move was best of both parties.

“We thank London and Danny Ward for their help in making his move happen and we wish Ryan nothing bust the best for 2019.”

London Broncos were promoted back up to Super League after last October's 4-2 victory at Toronto Wolfpack in the Million Pound Game.
