Race puts Che and Myka Heard in running for Team GB World Championship place

CALLUM Bishop has been prolific for St Helens Tri at the Ormskirk Parkrun all season and finished fourth last Saturday in a time of 19:11.

Meanwhile in Northamptonshire Lynette Houghton was first lady home in the Uventure 12km obstacle race in Kettering and her son George won the junior event.

The following day saw Myka and Che Heard perform brilliantly at the Oulton Park Duathlon.

Myka took third in her age group while Che finished in under 1 hour 10 minutes which put him second at M20-24 level meaning both are in contention for a Team GB place for the World Championships in Denmark later this year.

It was also a double celebration for Emma Austin.

She not only won the junior ladies race at the Mold Sprint Triathlon but also learnt that her performance at the Loughborough junior triathlon earlier month meant that she qualified to compete in the ITU race in Leeds City Centre on 10 June.
