Fruitful Easter for St Helens Tri

A FRUITFUL Easter weekend for St Helens Tri included two new club duathlon champions, four excellent Parkrun results and a fine comeback.

Kevin Dudley won the club's Good Friday duathlon ahead of Gez Roberts and Dean Golba, while Carole James overtook Helen Broderick on the final stage to take the ladies' title.

Callum Bishop clocked 20 minutes in placing eighth at the Ormskirk Parkrun while Robert Chesters recorded 18:08 and second place at the Stadt Moers Park event where Adam and Robert O'Shea joined him in the top 15.

Mark Turner returned from injury to make the top 30 at the Ulverston Triathlon on Easter Sunday while seven club members took on the Hale 5, where Kevin Dunbar led the team home and Molli Forber took part in her first race for the club's Isabella Rose Foundation fundraising division as she completed the course in under 53 minutes.
