JEANETTE Fisher rounded off her season by winning her age group at the Kendal Sprint Triathlon on a day when Kevin Dunbar, a veteran of over 100 running races, completed his first triathlon after just eight weeks of training.

Meanwhile Lee Stinch competed in the Monster Ultra run in East Anglia, where he finished in just over six and a half hours and made the top ten.

Mark Turner has enjoyed a successful second season at St Helens Tri and continued his impressive run of form with a time of 18:44 on debut at the Ormskirk Parkrun, where he recovered from a fall halfway through the race to finish as runner-up just 20 seconds behind the winner.

Meanwhile at the St Helens event Dave Gaskell also tasted success in his first Parkrun as his time of 19:56 placed him fifth and won him the M45-49 division by over a minute.
