Preparing for the St Helens 10K North Road Challenge next Sunday, Matty Dyas, Scott Robertson and Ian Wright took on the Trail Extrema Sierras de Montejaque in Spain this weekend.

It is 25 kilometres of trail through the mountains in the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park with an overall ascent of 1400 metres means they are raring to go next week!

Congratulations to Matty coming 8th overall and 2nd in his age category with Scott Robertson and Ian Wright sharing joint 18th place.

Closer to home Stuart Tagg hit the track to compete at the Winter Track Marathon at Victoria Park, clocking up over 105 laps of the course with his marathon comrade resulting in a fantastic third place as a team and a sub 3 hour marathon time.

Ruth Besford, Adrian Pridgeon and Anita Hall persevered through the mud, rain and wind at Montane Dalemain 10K, another trail running event in Ullswater.
