St Helens Striders compete in Yule Yomp
AS the Christmas looms into sight races for the St Helens Striders start to dwindle.
However, on Sunday the Striders took on the Tatton Yule Yomp 10k in good weather conditions, although muddy underfoot.
The first Strider to finish was Matthew Swann who finished in 51:52 followed by Katie Taggart in 1:04:17.
Then came eight Striders who ran as a group taking on the Yule Yomp tradition of wearing fancy dress.
Gill Lee, Gary Spriggs, Andrea Hill Jones, Anita Hall, Victoria Kehoe, Kevin Brennan, Ruth Besford and Simon Poole all finished together in 1:18:29 dressed as nuns.
