ST Helens Tri enjoyed an excellent Bank Holiday weekend of success. At the Dream 5k Trail Race Kevin Dunbar followed up his 18:37 PB at Thursday evening's Mid Cheshire 5k by winning on home ground in style.

The club also tasted success at two local triathlons on the same morning.

Eddie Hirst performed brilliantly at the West Lancs Summer Triathlon, finishing second overall and winning the men's veterans category as one of only two entrants to complete the course in under an hour.

He was joined on the podium by Robert Chesters who made up over two minutes on the run stage to take third place and also snatch the men's senior division by just two seconds.

Meanwhile at the Wirral Open Water triathlon Myka Heard stormed to victory in the FV50 category, a particularly impressive run split giving her the title by over seven minutes.
