Striders brave muddiest conditions yet at Parbold

THERE was a good turn out from St Helens Striders on Saturday afternoon at the 46th Annual Parbold Hill Race.

This traditionally very muddy affair was, according to race organisers, worse than ever. First male Strider home was Kevin Brennan in 51.55. First female Strider (and 4th female overall) was Rachael Fairclough in 53.45. Those following were Neil Hunter 58.37, Ian Wright 59.58, Gary Spriggs 1.02.41, Gill Lee 1.05 44, Tony Dagnall 1.06.03, Jeanette Fisher 1.06.32, Andy Bridge 1.09.49, Stuart Tagg 1.10.39, Neil Rigby 1.11.00, Tom Towey 1.14.42, Louise Jeffrey-Read 1.16.20, Joanne Jackson 1.20.47, Andy Fisher 1.20.52, Ruth Besford 1.20.54, Gemma Webster 1.23.23, Sharon O’Connell 1.23.28, Rebecca McKenna 1.24.03, Jade Booth 1.24.05, Gary Ward 1.30.00, Charlotte Ward 1.30.00, Victoria Kehoe 1.34.01, Anita Hall 1.34.04, Angela Jones 1.34.09, Deb Hill 1.34.25, Mike Brunt 1.37.50, Aimee Hill 1.43.37. On Sunday, Gemma Webster ran A PB at the Village Bakery Half Marathon in Wrexham in 1.43.30 and Carol Foster in 1.48.04.
