St Helens Sutton A.C. members travelled to Blackpool for the Northern Road Relays held at Stanley Park.

Representing the Under13 years girls Amber Escoffery led the incomplete team off to a great start, finished in 31st place in 13 min.47 secs.

Next Blythe Carter Jones ran well to finish 32nd on the second leg completing the 3300m course in 15 min.49 secs. Charlie Roberts ran on the first leg of the U13yrs. boys 3300m relay.

He finished in 19th place in a time of 11 min.49 secs., Michael Brussels ran well, finishing in 13 min.07 secs in 22nd. position. Nathan Worrall brought the team home in 24th place finishing in 13 min.35 secs.

Overall the boys team finished 24th in a time of 38.41.

The U15yrs. girls also ran the sam 3300m. course. Lucy Price went off first and led the team off to a fantastic start finishing 35th. in 14 min.12 secs.. Natalie Tate brought the team up to 31st. place with her time of 14 min.51 secs

 On the last leg, Charlotte Dodson pulled the team up again to 29th place in 15 min.44 secs.

 The club only had one representative for the U15yrs. Boys, Jack Worrall ran an excellent leg finishing 42nd in a time of 13 min.14 secs.

 For the U17yrs. Men, Ben Oldham led the team off, finishing 31st. completing the 3300m. in 14 min.14 secs.. On the second leg, Leon Hill ran well to finish in 30th. place in 15 min.50 secs. and Joseph Walker brought the team home in 26th place in a time of 14 min.54 secs..

There were 2 teams for the senior men who covered the distance of 6700m. The A Team consisted of Matt Crehan, Andy Wilson, Jamie White, John Greenall, Steve Anders and Greg Williams.

The B Team consisted of Ian Roberts, Jake Healey, Ian Costello, Dennis Wharton, Ian White and Ian Hayburn.

On the first legs; Matt led the A team off finishing in 84th. place in 24 min.31 secs. and Ian Roberts finished 110th. in 29 min.01 secs.

Next Andy ran the second leg finishing 76th. in 24 min.21 secs and Jake completed the leg in 105th. place in 26 min.31 secs.

On the third leg, Jamie brought the A team up to 74th. place in 24 min.16 secs. while Ian Costello finished in 26 min.36 secs., moving up 8 places. John completed the fourth leg in 74th. place in 25 min.14 secs. and for the B team Dennis held 97th position and finished in 29 min.18 secs.

On the penultimate leg for the A team, Steve Anders finished in 66th place in 22 min.49 secs., Ian White ran for the B team and finished in 100th. place in 29 min.22 secs.

Greg Williams ran on the last leg and brought the A team home in 60th place in 24 min.27 secs and Ian Hayburn was on the anchor leg for the B team bringing them home in 95th. place in 26 min.26 secs.

Overall the A team finished 60th. in 2 hrs.25 min.38 secs. and the B team finished 95th. in 2 hrs.47 min.14 secs..
