Brennan first strider home on hilly course
St Helens Striders travelled to the Lake District on Saturday to race in the Lakeland Trails Stavely 17k off road event.
The challenging, hilly course was tackled by Kevin Brennan who was first Strider home in 1.24.12. Next in was Gary Spriggs 1.44.11, Ruth Besford 2.00.49, Anita Hall 2.17.38, Deb Hill 2.45.08 and Vicky Kehoe 2.45.11.
The Great Manchester 10k Run has fast become a huge event in the North West and representing St Helens Striders were Julie Pennington 45.05, Stuart Tagg 49.43, Cheryl Orrick 49.47, Jo Keogh 51.00, Katie Taggart 51.58 and Anthony Jones 1.09.40.
Further afield Danny Fegan was the sole Strider at the Market Drayton 10k finishing in 42.08.
