ONLY four members of St Helens Sutton A.C. made the short trip to Stadt Moers Park, Whiston for the third match in the Liverpool & District Cross-country League.

The course is a pleasant one in good conditions but the recent rains have made it very heavy.

Despite the lack of team support Greg Williams ran a strong race to finish 8th in a time of 35 min.19 secs.

Alan McNally and Peter Johnson were the only other men running and recorded times of 42 min.32 secs. and 46 min.25 secs. respectively.

Senior Lady Louise Hogg must like the challenge of running against the men as for the second time this season she took them on and ran 52 min.59 secs
