Young centre Tom Armstrong will be working with former Saints boss Ian Millward at Leigh Centurions next season.
The 21-year-old has agreed a dual contract with the Championship club, meaning he will play for Leigh when not required by new Saints coach Royce Simmons – in the same way operated by prop Jake Emmitt last season.
Armstrong, who made five first-team appearances for Saints in 2009, scored 24 tries in 17 games for the under 20s this year.
Another centre, Jack Bradbury, aged 20, has left the club and joined Oldham on a one-year part time contract.
