SAINTS could hand a senior debut to 20-year-old Matt Costello to fill the gap created by Mark Percival's suspension.

Coach Justin Holbrook was mulling over the options with the coaching staff today, with the other option being to put Jonny Lomax into the three-quarters.

But Holbrook has high praise for the young outside back Costello, who has been in the Saints system since he was 14 and was part of the all-conquering 2016 Academy team.

Holbrook said: "Matt Costello has been going really well and although I will chat to the other coaches, I am likely to bring Cossy in.

"He has had a few good runs at Sheffield and he is a good young player.

"We could move a lot of players around, so am not 100 per cent certain yet because we have the luxury of putting Jonny there too.

"But Cossy will definitely come into the mix."
