Worcester Park 102-6
A superb all-round cameo by Matt Newell could not quite inspire Park (pictured) to silverware on Sunday against a battling Bank of England side in the mid-Surrey U-15 League Cup Final.
Leg-spinner Newell took four wickets for eight runs, then rattled up a near-perfect 64, but still finished a runner-up in the 24-over-a-side competition.
Bank's Tom Larcombe (21) and Daniel Lowther (13) made sure their team made it to more than 100, before the latter was bowled by Karen Fisher, who chipped in with 2-16.
In reply, Park lost the three vital wickets of Mander (3), skipper Nick Ball (7) and Liam Guy (4) before the 50 mark as Larcombe (1-15), Charlie Lewis (1-4) and Bensohn (1-14) all maintained a tight line.
Despite Newell's heroics, Park were left with the near-impossible target of 22 from the last over.
