SAINTS have suffered another massive injury blow following news Paul Wellens has broken a bone in his hand.
The full back will be out of action for a month.
Wellens is rated very doubtful for the Challenge Cup semi-final against Huddersfield next month, although coach Mick Potter has not given up hope of him being fit for the clash .
Saints have also confirmed James Roby has suffered a spiral fracture to his hand and is expected to miss the cup clash on Sunday, August 9.
Scans have confirmed Jonny Lomax (ankle)faces six weeks out.
They joins a lengthy casualty list which includes Sean Long (broken jaw) Jason Cayless (knee) and Maurie Fa'asavalu (broken arm) and Gary Wheeler (calf).
Kyle Eastmond and Chris Flannery are expected to return at Harlequins on Saturday after recovering from mumps.
Coach Mick Potter said: "Wellens has got a broken hand, but it is not as bad as James'.
"There is no displacement. The doc said four weeks but I would like to think he would be playing before then.
"It's the nature of the game, it gives someone else an opportunity."
