FLYING Saints wing Tee Ritson grabbed a brace of tries while on dual registration duty for club's Championship partners Swinton at the weekend.

He was playing outside fellow Saints first team squad member Jonny Vaughan who set up his first try by pulling two defenders out of shape before laying off a neat flicked inside ball for Ritson to plunge over.

The pair formed an effective right wing/centre partnership .

Ritson's second saw him race on to a Dec Patton kick before taking on the cover on the outside to finish at pace.

Although Ritson has been named in the Saints 21 this year, he has yet to feature in a senior game.

Ritson scored three tries in his 16 appearances last term, but has been behind Jon Bennison and Waqa Blake in the wing stakes this term.

Coach Wellens said recently that both Ritson and Vaughan were knocking on the first team door.

Playing dual reg at Championship level will give both valuable minutes at a good level to keep them match-hardened.

Former Saints hooker Josh Eaves also scored for Swinton in what was his 100th career match.

Swinton won 50-22 over Dewsbury Rams

Meanwhile reserve hooker Jake Burns started for North Wales Crusaders in their home match against Rochdale and went over for a try.

And young prop Brett Bailey went to the South of France against Toulouse for the second week of his initial two-week loan with Whitehaven.

Bailey came off the bench on Saturday, as he did last week on his try-scoring debut for Haven.
