THE Betfred Women’s Super League kicks off in a huge fashion on Sunday with Saints Women taking on the reigning league champions York on the Valkyrie’s own turf.
It is a clash of the Titans of the Women’s - Challenge Cup holders v Champions - and there is also an added twist to it.
The sides will meet in the Women’s Challenge Cup semi-final to be played in the middle of May.
Matty Smith’s team have started the 2024 season in fine form - unbeaten in the Challenge Cup to book their spot in the final four of the Cup with wins in the group stage over Warrington and London, before downing Huddersfield last weekend in emphatic fashion in the Quarter-Final.
The game on Sunday is part of a double header and kicks off at 12pm at LNER Community Stadium.
Tickets are available with York: Adults – £20, Concessions – £15, Under 16s – Free.
York are hosting a double-header with York Men’s side taking on Bradford Bulls after the Women’s game at 3pm
