SAINTS player Scott Moore has been charged with a series of driving offences after a car collided with three parked cars and a fence.
Moore, who is due to appear in court the day before Saints’ Challenge Cup semi-final against Wigan, has been charged with drink driving and driving while disqualified.
He is also accused of failing to stop at the scene of an accident and failing to report an accident.
The charges relate to an incident at 3.50am on Friday, June 10 at Norwood Avenue, Lowton, where police were called to following reports of a collision.
Officers discovered that a Volkswagen Scirocco had collided with three parked cars and a fence. They later arrested Moore in connection with the crash and he was bailed until this week.
When news of his arrest emerged a month ago, Saints chiefs said he would be subject to the club’s disciplinary procedure “if there is a case to answer”.
Moore, 23, is due to make his first appearance before Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court on Friday, August 5.
Saints meet Wigan in the cup semi-final the next day.
