THE final piece has been gently lowered into place, as Dream finally gazes out from a former mine overlooking St Helens.
Already a massive talking point across town, Dream, created by world-renowned Catalan artist Jaume Plensa which stands at 20 metres high (66ft) and weighing more than 370 tonnes, marks a stark contrast to its surroundings.
The striking £2m artwork, which overlooks the nearby M62 on the site of the former Sutton Manor Colliery is an elongated girl’s head and is hoped to be a landmark feature in the North West of England.
