POLICE have given an update on the condition of a woman in her 70s who was taken to hospital after a crash last Friday afternoon.
The Star reported after a closure was in place on Park Road between Johnson Street and Recreation Street, Fingerpost, while emergency services were at the scene.
The crash was between a red Hyundai i20 and a silver Vauxhall van.

A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said on Friday: "Just before 4.20pm on Friday, April 12, we received a report of a collision on Park Road in St Helens involving a red Hyundai i20 and silver Vauxhall van.
"A woman in her 70s was taken to hospital with injuries.
"Park Road and Merton Bank was closed off after the incident whilst emergency services remain at the scene."
When asked for an update, a police spokesman said on Tuesday, April 16, that the woman was in "a serious but stable condition."
