A MAN has been released without charge following the death of a woman in Warrington.
At 9.33am yesterday, January 17, a woman's body was found at an address on Folly Lane, in Bewsey, Warrington.
This came less than 12 hours after she was reported missing to Cheshire Police, which was at 10.10pm on January 16.
A large presence of emergency service vehicles was at the scene on Folly Lane yesterday, Wednesday, including police cars and a crime scene investigation van.
The latest update from a Cheshire Police spokesperson reads: "Detectives investigating the death of a woman in Warrington have confirmed that her death is not suspicious."
The statement continues: "Police searching for a missing woman from Warrington have sadly located a body.
"Officers were called to reports of a missing woman at around 10.10pm on Tuesday, January 16.
"At 9.33am on Wednesday, January 17, officers discovered a body at an address on Folly Lane that is believed to be that of the missing woman.
"Following a post-mortem examination, the cause of death is not believed to be suspicious.
"A 51-year-old man, who was arrested in relation to the incident, has since been released without charge.
"The death has been referred to HM Coroner."
