FIREFIGHTERS were called after a car was ablaze in the early hours of Sunday.
A vehicle was seen engulfed in flames on Wycliffe Road in Haydock.
Emergency services were called to the scene as the fire ravaged the car.
Fire crews tackled the flames and then handed the investigation over to the police.

A spokesman for Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crews were called to a car fire on Wycliffe Road, Haydock at 3.21 am early on Sunday morning with one fire engine in attendance.
"The fire was extinguished by 3.50am and the scene was handed over to police.
"The fire crew left the scene at 3.55am."
