THE body of a man was found in water near to a residential street, police have confirmed.
Emergency services were called to the water in Parr on Saturday morning, January 23.
A police cordon was put in place in the area.
Officers have confirmed that the body of a man was found in water near Brookway Lane.
Formal identification of the body is yet to take place and police are awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination.

A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "We can confirm we were contacted at 11.50am on Saturday, January 23 following reports the body of a man had been found in water close to Brookway Lane in St Helens.
"The man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
"Formal identification is still to take place and we are still awaiting the results of a post-mortem.
"Enquiries remain ongoing."
