POLICE have confirmed that the body of a man who went missing last weekend has been found.
Officers issued an appeal for the whereabouts of Carl Sutcliffe earlier this week after he had last been seen on Saturday morning on Brookway Lane, Parr.
Police have said the body of Mr Sutcliffe, who was 45, was found in Glasgow on Tuesday.
His death is not believed to be suspicious, say police.

A police statement said: "Merseyside Police can confirm that the body of 45-year-old Carl Sutcliffe was sadly found in Glasgow on Tuesday, November 17.
"Mr Sutcliffe was reported missing from his home in St Helens on Saturday, November 14.
"At this stage the death is not believed to be suspicious. His next of kin have been informed.
"A post mortem examination will take place to establish the cause of death."
